HE HAD EVERYTHING—AND WALKED AWAY TO FIGHT A WAR MANY SAID WASN’T HIS
Issac grew up in poverty and violence in Mexico. After his mother’s death, he built a new life in America. He became a Marine officer, earned an MBA, and built the ideal life—with success, comfort, and options. Then he left it all.
When Russia invaded Ukraine, Issac was outraged, so he joined the Ukrainian army to try and stop the aggression.
In the war, he and his teammates faced immense tragedies. One fighter is captured, one goes missing, others are left behind. But despite the devastating losses, they experienced incredible triumphs. They halt the invasion, liberate cities, and help save a country.
Reckoning Dreams and Fire is a soldier’s memoir and a meditation on purpose—an exploration of what prosperity means, if not tested by sacrifice, and what we owe to the freedom of others.
